Sam Hanna, Cabinet maker, teacher, inventor and film maker was born in Burnley & lived in the town most of this century. He pioneered the use of film in schools as a means of instruction. In 1932 he started to film life and events in Burnley as well as capturing dying local crafts for posterity on movie film.
